Young Kids In Motion Academy is an accredited private school located in Duval County. Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where students can learn and grow to their fullest potential. We offer a Elementry, Middle, and High School Program with a focus on vocational education, providing our students with the skills they need to succeed in their future careers.
OUR HISTORY
Young Kids In Motion Academy was founded in 2016 by Meltonia Wright with the mission to make a positive change in the lives of our youth through education. Our goal is to ensure that all of our students are career or college ready. We are an accredited private school in Duval County, offering a unique learning experience for our students. Our teachers and administrators are committed to providing a nurturing and caring learning environment, while also challenging our students to reach their highest potential. We strive for excellence in all aspects of our school.

Paul Maple
​Paul Maple is a dedicated athletic professional, mentor, and youth advocate with a lifelong passion for sports, leadership, and student development. His commitment to athletics began at an early age and has continued to shape his approach to working with young people today.
During his high school years, Paul played football at Orange Park High School and baseball at Ribault High School. He later attended Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he earned a degree in Business and Recreation. His educational background, combined with his experience in athletics, has provided him with a strong foundation for leadership, program development, and mentorship.
Paul currently serves as the Athletic Director at Young Kids In Motion Academy, where he is committed to building an athletic program that promotes excellence both on and off the field. He believes athletics are an important part of student development, teaching valuable principles such as discipline, teamwork, accountability, perseverance, leadership, and sportsmanship.
Under his leadership, the Young Kids In Motion Academy basketball program advanced to national competition and earned a trophy, marking an important achievement for the school’s growing athletic program. Paul continues to encourage student-athletes to challenge themselves, remain focused, and strive for excellence academically and athletically.
Beyond his role at Young Kids In Motion Academy, Paul leads Higher Learning Summer Camp, where children are provided with opportunities to learn, explore, and experience something new each week. The program combines educational enrichment, recreation, and engaging activities to create a positive and memorable summer experience for every child.
Paul’s mission is to use education, athletics, and mentorship to positively impact the lives of young people. He remains committed to creating opportunities that build confidence, strengthen character, and prepare students to become successful leaders in their schools, communities, and future endeavors.

Latasha Nash
Ms. Latasha Nash is an graduate of Ashford University. She is a Mother and grandmother. Our Principal is dedicated to educating the children at Young Kids In Motion. She is a caring and understanding to the needs if our students. Ms. Nash listens to our children and give them the guidance that they need to make great decision. The children of YKIM love Ms. Nash because she shows them love.
